At the enchanting holistic day spa Terme Di Aroma, a holistic day spa at 32 North Third Street, in Philadelphia's Historic Section, I was so impressed with the gorgeous sculptural amethyst tree, along with other gemstones in the case, I stared at the gemstones. I asked the owner if I was unusual, and he assured me I wasn't, that gemstones have special qualities.

Thinking about it, I recalled the many spas I have visited also sold and displayed gemstones, which can bring serenity, wisdom and calm to those who wear and display them. Gemstone jewelry, such as earrings, pendants, bracelets -- also looks good. Below is a list of gemstones and special qualities. Turquoise, amethyst, citrine, garnet, moonstone, carnelian and coral are some of my healing favorites.
